2014 western conference finals6/19/2023 ![]() ![]() LeBron James is just getting into his prime, which is crazy considering he’s already beenĪround for 11 seasons. I think he will still be a strong presence in the paint, but those old legs might get to him after such a long season. For LeBron James, this is another shot at glory after winning the last two NBA Finals and reaching the last three Finals series.ĭuncan is playing the lowest playoff minutes off his career. Will 38-year-old Duncan win his fifth ring, or will James add a third to his collection?įor Duncan this is one last shot at ending a glorious career with San Antonio, and a chance for redemption following the 2013 NBA Finals. It promises to be an enthralling encounter.Įveryone is talking about legacies in this match-up. As I said earlier hopefully I am wrong about me saying no 1st round series other than Clippers/Warriors is exciting.Although regular season match-ups don’t necessarily count in the playoffs, the Heat have gone 12-3 and the Spurs have gone 12-6 in these playoffs. Then with Memphis beating Dallas on the Final night of the Regular Season that wrecked my hope of seeing a high scoring series between Thunder/Mavs and a grinder between Grizzlies/Spurs. Raptors would have fun and intriguing to watch as well all because of match-ups and/or drama). Hopefully I am wrong, but I expect Pacers/Heat to dominate the Hawks/Bobcats respectively, Raptors/Nets will be a boring series as well as Bulls/Wizards! Then in the West Spurs/Mavs is of the past, Thunder/Grizz is good, but I dont know if it will be 2011 good or have close finishes like the 2 teams had in 2013 and Rockets/Blazers I think will be easy to overlook because its the late games and there is no drama or fun match-up in their series just like Raptors/Nets and Bulls/Wizards… Honestly I was hyped about the Playoffs early on Wednesday (4/16) but with the Wizards moving to the 5 spot and the Bobcats dropping to 7 that made the East 1st round playoffs to me nearly intrigued to watch (Bulls/Nets would have been fun IMO and either the Wizards or Bobcats vs. Other than Warriors/Clippers I dont think there is any exciting 1st round series. I applaud ABC for telecasting 2 of the 1st 4 games of Warriors/Clippers because Steph Curry has become a star + there has been at least 2 Sundays that the Warriors was snubbed in getting or being flexed for an ABC game and the Clippers even though every one hypes up the Spurs and Thunder winning the West, I think the Clippers has a chance of winning the conference as well so familiarity is really important in that area. ![]() This is also good that with next season Charlotte going back to teal and purple (Hornets) anyone can now say the Bobcats has appeared on Broadcast Television one time despite a dreadful 10 seasons they had in the NBA. Im happy that the Charlotte Bobcats finally gets an ABC game that means every Franchise in the NBA has appeared on ABC since their rights began in the 2002-03 season. 2014 NBA Playoffs TV Schedule NBA TV will air several first round games TNT has the 2014 Western Conference Finals starting Wednesday, May 21 (the series could begin on Monday, May 19 if the second round ends early). ESPN will air the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals starting Tuesday, May 20 (the series could begin on Sunday, May 18 on ABC if the second round ends early).
